BEFORECARE & AFTERCARE
As a service to working parents, the school is open from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., including an optional breakfast program. Daycare is offered during the school year, the winter holidays and spring break.
Children, including those signed up for breakfast program, play in the before-care room until 8, when they go to their own classrooms for relaxed activities until school starts at 9.
In aftercare, children enjoy stories, free play, art, music, dance, and imaginative play, both inside and out.
Elementary students play board games, do puzzles, work on art or craft projects, help in the garden, or play games on our large playground. The library is open for those who wish to study or do homework or read.
Explorations is our optional after-school enrichment program for elementary students. Classes are open both to students in daycare and those not in daycare. Classes are offered in several different sessions per year, and are taught by classroom and aftercare teachers with a particular skill or interest in a subject.
